If I Had a Million Dollars. . .

This past Labor Day weekend was full of fun, sun, and driving.

Saturday we headed to the only place more miserable than Tempe during the summer. . .Yuma. Our visit included a delicious barbecue in celebration of little Dominic, a late night run to a taco stand that sold "special" DVD's, and then Sunday morning the blessing of the cutest little baby. I am ashamed to admit that after holding him for a mere ten minutes my arms started to shake.

After the blessing, we headed to my favorite place on the west coast, Southern California, and spent a cooler Sunday evening there walking around Laguna Beach. I was amused to find out that the seventy-eight degree nighttime weather was too hot for the residents there.

For Labor Day we drove to San Clemente beach and spent a few hours there soaking in some rays and playing in the waves. I tried body boarding and by some miracle was actually able to catch a wave to shore. As a word of advice, make sure to reapply your SPF 15 sunscreen frequently as one coat was tested and found to not prevent a burn.

After lunch at Wahoo's Fish Tacos and a drive through Newport Beach it was time to start heading back and prepare for our journey home. It was a wonderful weekend, and if I ever inherit, win or steal a million dollars, I'm moving to the beach!
